Coastal Cruiser Shipping Info

Free shipping in the contiguous United States with FedEx or UPS ground services. Shipping processing time is 1-3 business days. Shipping transit times vary from 1-5 business days depending on how far away the customer is from Southern California.

Order Confirmation

  • As soon as you place your order, you will receive an order confirmation e-mail. This means that we have received your order in our system and pre-authorized your credit card for the purchase.
  • If your item is on backorder or unavailable, we will reach out to you via e-mail.
  • If your item(s) are available for immediate shipment (within 3 business days), we will process the charges and submit the order for shipment.

Order Shipment

  • If your order is in stock and we process the charges to your credit card, it will usually ship within 1-3 business days from the date of your order.
  • We will send you tracking information as soon as your order leaves the warehouse to the e-mail address you provided when checking out.
  • If you do not receive tracking information from us within 5 business days of your order, feel free to follow up with us at support@electricrideco.com

Damages

Please inspect the packaging of your item(s) when they arrive, if you notice any damage you should make note of it when signing for delivery and take photos. If your item(s) do arrive damaged, please send photos to support@electricrideco.com and we will assist.

Freight LTL Shipments

  • Note: Only applies to certain products such as large scooters.
  • When the item reaches your city or a city near yours the dispatcher will call you to set up a future delivery date and time with you. The item will not be delivered until you set up this appointment.
  • You need to be at the delivery address during the delivery window to receive and sign for the item. 
  • The dispatcher will let you know what dates they have available. Delivery appointments can only be scheduled Monday to Friday. The delivery times can only be scheduled in delivery windows of 8am - 12pm or 12pm - 4pm. Depending on the freight company the delivery window may differ. A fixed delivery time, i.e. 9am, cannot be scheduled. It can only be scheduled in a delivery window time frame. 
  • Please make sure the phone number you entered at checkout is a good number to contact you at.
  • Don't screen your calls until your item has been delivered. 
  • The item will be delivered via a lift gate truck with one delivery person. It will be placed at your door or the closet area near your door. Due to the large size, it may not be possible to be placed at your door. 
  • Be sure to keep all your packing materials including the pallet. If you decide to return the item you will need to have all the original packing materials.
How to Handle Damages, Exceptions or Discrepancies at Time of Product Delivery
  1. Carton packaging appears to have some damage such as ripped, holes, large dents, open carton, or items are missing:
  • Carton damage requires visual inspection of contents of the unit. 
  • We recommend immediate inspection, with driver present, to verify damage. If contents are damaged, indicate damage on carrier’s paperwork, take photos of the damage, and notify us immediately by sending an e-mail with photos to support@electricrideco.com
  • IMPORTANT: If contents cannot be inspected immediately, notation on carrier’s paperwork must state: “Carton damage, subject to inspection” and list type of damage. 
  • Contents must be inspected within 48 hours of arrival and actual damage reported to support@electricrideco.com

    Electric Ride Co. is an authorized dealer and distributor for all the brands and products sold on this website. All of our products are covered by their manufacturer return/refund policies and warranty policies.

    For a majority of our products, our return policy varies between 7 to 30 days depending on the brand of the item you order. Each manufacturer has its own policies and we have to abide by the manufacturer's return and refund policies as we are an authorized dealer for the brands we distribute. Please read the return policy below that applies to this product. Brand return policies should be read in conjunction with the Electric Ride Co. Return Terms below.

    Coastal Cruiser Return Policy

    You may return most new, unopened items within 7 days of delivery for a full refund of the product cost (minus original and return shipping costs). Because the nature of our items can sometimes take a little bit to process, we always start return eligibility from the date of delivery. If the error is due to Coastal Cruisers we will likely cover the cost of the return shipping.

    Merchandise must be in unused condition, with all parts that came with the order and original packaging for a full refund.    

    Before a return is sent, the customer must have written approval of said return from Coastal Cruisers. If a customer sends a return without the written consent of Coastal Cruisers, a refund will not be issued and the customer will have to pay shipping to get the item returned, or, sacrifice the item.

    Approved returns have their choice of store credit, exchange, or refund, subject to written approval.

    Please note return processing can take on average anywhere from 10-30 days upon delivery back to us. Most times return refunds are processed way faster than that. 

    Items that have been physically damaged, or show signs of use and wear may be subject to a 25% restocking fee. 

    Refunds are issued to the original form of payment. If we cannot issue a refund to the original form of payment, we can gladly offer store credit or an exchange. 

    Misused or improperly cared for items (such as being left out in the elements, or signs of abuse) are not eligible for a refund. 

    Refused Items: If it's the fault of Coastal Cruisers, you will be fully credited and or items will be reshipped at our expense.

    NOTE: ALL RETURNS HAVE TO COME WITH THE ORIGINAL BOX WITHOUT ANY DAMAGE TO THE BOX. THE CUSTOMER WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY EXTRA FEE OR WRAPPING FEE IF THE ORIGINAL BOX IS LOST OR THROWN AWAY.

    Cancellations

    To make sure your order is shipped quickly and arrives quickly, cancellations can be made within 24 hours starting from the time the order is confirmed. Any order that gets canceled after 24 hours is subject to a 10% administration fee, whether or not your order has shipped. If the order has left the warehouse, you (the buyer) will also be responsible for the return shipping fees + up to a 25% restocking fee as well.


    Electric Ride Co. Return Terms

    • To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unused and in its original packaging.
    • Returns may be requested by sending an email to support@electricrideco.com with your order number.
    • If your return is accepted, we’ll send you instructions on how and where to send your package.
    • Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.
    • We do not charge restocking fees, but if our supplier does, this fee will be passed on to you. Supplier restocking fees vary from zero to 30% and can be viewed on the product page.
    • If the return is for personal reasons, a 5% fee will be charged to cover our administration costs and merchant processing fees.
    • If your order has shipped, you will be responsible for actual return shipping charges.
    • Original shipping charges included in the purchase price of the product are non-refundable.
    • We will refund the product price minus the applicable fees and charges.
    • Refunds will be credited to the same payment method used when the original purchase was made.
    • Please allow 5 business days for the refund to be processed once the item is delivered back to us.

     Additional Information

    • It is the customer's responsibility to return the merchandise in a new resalable condition. Refunds are only issued after returned items have been received and inspected.
    • If a returned item gets damaged during the transportation, it is the customer's responsibility to file the claim with the carrier. No refund can be issued in this case.
    • Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
    • If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will be automatically applied to the original method of payment.

    Cancellations

    • All cancelled orders are subject to a 5% cancellation fee.
    • This fee covers administration costs and costs from our credit card processing company. Whenever we refund an order, we are not refunded our merchant card processing fees.
    • If your order has not been shipped yet, this is the only fee you will incur.
    • If your order has been shipped, the standard return procedure applies and more fees will apply like original shipping costs, return shipping costs, and restocking fees if any. We do not charge restocking fees, we only pass them on from our supplier.

    Damages

    Please inspect the packaging of your item(s) when they arrive, if you notice any damage you should make note of it when signing for delivery. If your item(s) do arrive damaged, please send photos to support@electricrideco.com and we will address the issue.

    Defective Merchandise

    All of our products are covered by their manufacturer warranty policies. The warranty information for each product can be found under the "WARRANTY" tab on the product page. Please let us know if you discover any manufacturer's defects and we will help you get parts or replace the product.

    Please note that for returns of defective products, it is the customer's responsibility to repackage the product in the original packaging. Please make sure to keep the original packaging even if it has been damaged as the packaging can be patched up. If the customer has thrown away the original packaging then it is the customer's responsibility to repackage the product at their own cost.

    Some of our suppliers may refuse returns if the original packaging has been thrown away.

    Incorrect Product Specifications and/or Pictures

    Product specifications are provided to us by our manufacturers and may not always be correct. Products may also vary from the displayed pictures, usually due to product improvements over time. Electric Ride Co. is not responsible for original or return shipping fees should the specs or pictures be different than the actual item. Please contact us if you need to confirm anything specific about the item before placing your order.

    Exchanges

    We do not offer exchanges. If you’d like a different item you will need to return the initial order and place a new order.

    Coastal Cruiser Warranty Policy

    Coastal Cruisers warrants every new Coastal Cruisers electric bicycle to be free from manufacturer defects in material and/or workmanship provided that the product is used in a standard and controlled manner, and maintained according to its owner’s manual.

    This warranty is valid in the United States only and applies to the person or entity that originally purchased the product from Coastal Cruisers or its authorized dealers in the United States (not transferable to a subsequent purchaser). The warranty period commences upon the date of original purchase. Proof of purchase from an authorized dealer and photo/video evidence of the defect are required to receive the warranty support.

    What is covered by this warranty?

    Coastal Cruisers Bikes warrants every new product against defects in material and/or workmanship as follows:

    Limited ONE (1) Year Components Warranty

    Bicycle frame, suspension fork, stem, handlebar, headset, LCD display, seat post, saddle, brake levers, cables, bottom bracket, crankset, pedals, chain, rims, wheel hub, freewheel, cassette, derailleur, calipers, shifter, brake discs/rotors, brake/shifter cables, motor, throttle, controller, wiring harness, kickstand, grips, head and tail lights, rear rack, fenders, reflectors, and hardware. 

    Warranty does not extend to any damage resulting in water related damage or any damage resulting from Purchaser exceeding the weight limit of 250 lbs. The weight limit includes both rider and any gear. Warranty does not extend to any wear and tear. 

    Limited ONE (1) Year Lithium-Ion Battery

    Lithium-Ion batteries are warranted to be free from manufacturer defects in materials and/or workmanship for a ONE YEAR period from the date of original purchase. The battery warranty does not include damage from power surges, use of improper charger, improper maintenance, misuse, normal wear or water damage.

    Warranty does not extend to any damage resulting in water related damage or any damage resulting from Purchaser exceeding the weight limit of 250 lbs. The weight limit includes both rider and any gear. Warranty does not extend to any wear and tear. 

    Limited 30 Days Full Replacement Warranty

    If an Coastal Cruisers product is not working properly because of a major manufacturer defect within the first 30 days of original purchase, Coastal Cruisers Bike will repair or replace any defective product at its sole option and expense upon determining whether the damage, failure, or loss is due to a major manufacturer defect. Coastal Cruisers will first issue replacement parts for a reasonable number of tries (as determined by Coastal Cruisers). If the product does not function properly after the parts replacement attempts, Coastal Cruisers will send a full replacement bicycle or scooter upon receipt and inspection of the original product and replacement parts.

    Coastal Cruisers reserves the right to charge 25% of the product price in case the original product is returned in a bad manner, with the insufficient protective material, not in accordance with the instructions provided by Coastal Cruisers, or shows signs of excessive use, neglect, dirt, dust. A full replacement product will be issued only after such fee is paid in full.

    Limited 7 DAYS Shipping Damages Coverage

    Coastal Cruisers will repair or replace the parts damaged during shipping at its sole option provided that such damage is documented on the bill of lading and reported to the dealer or Coastal Cruisers within the first 7 days after delivery. It is the customer’s responsibility to inspect the box and the product at the time of delivery, take pictures of any damage and keep all packaging and paperwork until the damage claim process is complete.

    What is NOT covered by this warranty?

    Any product without presented proof of purchase from an authorized dealer AND photo/video evidence of the defect;

    Any product purchased from an unauthorized dealer;

    Any product with an expired warranty period;

    Any product transferred to a subsequent purchaser or owner;

    Normal wear and tear (scrapes, scratches, etc.);

    Consumables (components that are subject to a short life and periodic replacement due to their functions including, but not limited to tires, tubes, brake pads, spokes, alkaline batteries, saddle covering, paint, mineral oil, and other lubricants);

    Assembly or tune-up fees;

    Costs associated with inspection, labor, packaging material, shipping of warranted products;

    Damage or defects resulting from failure to follow instructions in the owner’s manual, improper assembly, use of incompatible and non-original parts, improper maintenance, storage, and transportation, alterations, modifications, acts of God, accidents, misuse, neglect, abuse, water damage, operator’s error, commercial activities, extreme or excessive riding, and other types of non-standard use;

    Damage or defects resulting from an attempted repair unless performed by an authorized Coastal CruisersDealer with Coastal Cruisers’s knowledge and approval;

    Damage or defects caused by flood, lightning, earthquake, war, vandalism, theft, brownouts or sags (damage due to low voltage disturbances).

    Services performed by an unauthorized dealer or without prior written consent of approval for warranty repairs by Coastal Cruisers. 

    How to obtain warranty support?

    Step 1

    FILL OUT FROM BELOW. Make sure to have the following available: original bill of sale with unexpired warranty period (proof of purchase), photo/video evidence of the defective part or product, and main product information (such as model, serial number, battery voltage, motor wattage).

    Step 2

    Read the respective manual and FAQs for troubleshooting and repair instructions. If the solution is not found, contact the authorized Coastal Cruisers Bike dealer (seller) from whom you purchased your product and report an issue. As your number one resource, the dealer shall evaluate the problem, provide instructions for troubleshooting and make attempts at resolving it.

    Step 3

    If the issue is deemed as manufacture defect in materials and/or workmanship, please have your dealer contact Coastal Cruisers to begin warranty process. Coastal Cruisers shall repair or replace parts that are found by Coastal Cruisers to be defective and covered by the limited warranty.

    If within the warranty period, identical materials are unavailable at the time of repair or replacement, Coastal Cruisers reserves the right to substitute materials of equal or better quality. Replacement products may be new or reconditioned. All products that are replaced will become the property of Coastal Cruisers and must be returned upon request. Any item repaired or replaced under these terms will be covered by the limited warranty for the remainder of the original warranty period.

    Terms of warranty published on the Coastal Cruisers Website are considered current and controlling when a warranty claim is made. In no event shall Coastal Cruisers Bikes be responsible for any direct, indirect or consequential damages, including without limitation, damages for personal injury, property damage, or economic losses, whether based on contract, warranty, negligence, or product liability in connection with their products.

    Coastal Cruisers reserves the right to refuse any warranty claim.

    If the warranty work cannot be reasonably performed by an authorized dealer than Coastal Cruisers may approve and cover the costs for a 3rd party bike repair shop to do the warranty labor. Any labor done by a 3rd party location must be approved in writing in advance by Coastal Cruisers. Any warranty work performed without prior written consent will not be covered by the terms of the warranty and any labor costs associated with this will not be paid by Coastal Cruisers.

    We work very hard to ensure that we offer the absolute best prices online. Most of our suppliers have a minimum advertised price policy which dealers have to follow. If you find another online store that offers a lower price than us within 30 days of your purchase date then please let us know. As long as the dealer is not breaking the minimum advertised price policy, we will refund the price difference to your original payment method.

    We want you to feel confident that you are getting the absolute best price for the product you are ordering. If you find that our own website has a lower price for the same item you have ordered within 15 days of your purchase date we will refund the difference as well.

    To request your partial refund simply e-mail us a link to the same product on our website or on our competitors’ website along with your order number within 30 days from the date of your order and we will process the credit accordingly.

    Our Price Match Policy has some limitations:
    • You must purchase the item from our website before requesting our Price Match Policy.
    • Black Friday promotions and promotions such as rebates and "buy one, get one free" offers are not eligible.
    • The item must be in stock on the competitors’ website.
    • The competitor must be an online store, they may not have a retail location.
    • The website can not be a discounter or auction website (i.e. eBay, Overstock, etc.).
