Order Confirmation

  • As soon as you place your order, you will receive an order confirmation e-mail. This means that we have received your order in our system and pre-authorized your credit card for the purchase.
  • If your item is on backorder or unavailable, we will reach out to you via e-mail.
  • If your item(s) are available for immediate shipment (within 3 business days), we will process the charges and submit the order for shipment.

Order Shipment

  • If your order is in stock and we process the charges to your credit card, it will usually ship within 1-3 business days from the date of your order.
  • We will send you tracking information as soon as your order leaves the warehouse to the e-mail address you provided when checking out.
  • If you do not receive tracking information from us within 5 business days of your order, feel free to follow up with us at support@electricrideco.com

Damages

Please inspect the packaging of your item(s) when they arrive, if you notice any damage you should make note of it when signing for delivery and take photos. If your item(s) do arrive damaged, please send photos to support@electricrideco.com and we will assist.

Freight LTL Shipments

  • Note: Only applies to certain products such as large scooters.
  • When the item reaches your city or a city near yours the dispatcher will call you to set up a future delivery date and time with you. The item will not be delivered until you set up this appointment.
  • You need to be at the delivery address during the delivery window to receive and sign for the item. 
  • The dispatcher will let you know what dates they have available. Delivery appointments can only be scheduled Monday to Friday. The delivery times can only be scheduled in delivery windows of 8am - 12pm or 12pm - 4pm. Depending on the freight company the delivery window may differ. A fixed delivery time, i.e. 9am, cannot be scheduled. It can only be scheduled in a delivery window time frame. 
  • Please make sure the phone number you entered at checkout is a good number to contact you at.
  • Don't screen your calls until your item has been delivered. 
  • The item will be delivered via a lift gate truck with one delivery person. It will be placed at your door or the closet area near your door. Due to the large size, it may not be possible to be placed at your door. 
  • Be sure to keep all your packing materials including the pallet. If you decide to return the item you will need to have all the original packing materials.
How to Handle Damages, Exceptions or Discrepancies at Time of Product Delivery
  1. Carton packaging appears to have some damage such as ripped, holes, large dents, open carton, or items are missing:
  • Carton damage requires visual inspection of contents of the unit. 
  • We recommend immediate inspection, with driver present, to verify damage. If contents are damaged, indicate damage on carrier’s paperwork, take photos of the damage, and notify us immediately by sending an e-mail with photos to support@electricrideco.com
  • IMPORTANT: If contents cannot be inspected immediately, notation on carrier’s paperwork must state: “Carton damage, subject to inspection” and list type of damage. 
  • Contents must be inspected within 48 hours of arrival and actual damage reported to support@electricrideco.com

    Electric Ride Co. is an authorized dealer and distributor for all the brands and products sold on this website. All of our products are covered by their manufacturer return/refund policies and warranty policies.

    For a majority of our products, our return policy varies between 7 to 30 days depending on the brand of the item you order. Each manufacturer has its own policies and we have to abide by the manufacturer's return and refund policies as we are an authorized dealer for the brands we distribute. Please read the return policy below that applies to this product. Brand return policies should be read in conjunction with the Electric Ride Co. Return Terms below.

    DYU Return Policy

    Order Change & Cancellation

    Any ebike order change such as change of address or exchange of items after shipment will be charged $80 as a change fee. As the address can't be changed once shipped, we have to return the package and reship it.

    All cancellations need to be done by e-mailing support@electricrideco.com.

    Model Replacement

    For non-quality issues, no replacements are possible after 14 days of receiving the product.

    To be eligible for a replacement, the bike must be unused, free from dirt, dust, or any fragrances, and in the same packaging and condition that you received it. The mileage on the LCD screen must be less than 10 miles.

    For the request of model replacement within 14 days of receiving the product, you will be responsible for paying for shipping both ways, which is $300 in total (shipping cost of returning the received model: $150, shipping cost of delivering the new model: $150). After 14 days, bikes are not allowed to be replaced under any conditions.

    Ebike Returns

    Ebikes from DYU are under FREE returns within 14 days of delivery. To return an ebike that is not defective or damaged, please e-mail support@electricrideco.com. We do not provide product returns after 14 days.

    The ebike must have less than 10 miles on the odometer, be free of any wear and tear, dirt, dust, fragrance, or any other signs of use and must be in the same packaging and condition that you receive it and must include all items that were inside the box (charger, keys, hardware, etc.). You must receive prior authorization and we will provide a prepaid return shipping label. Any warranty issues must be resolved prior to processing a return.

    Before a return is sent, the customer must have written approval of said return by DYU. If a customer sends a return without written consent of DYU, a refund will not be issued and the customer will have to pay for shipping to get the item returned, or sacrifice the item.

    For returns agreed by DYU, please ship the bike after receiving the notification and shipping label provided by DYU. Or, if you decide to ship the bike by yourself, please do send us a notification with the tracking number after shipping any items for return. Once we received the item, we will either replace the item or give you a refund. This will be issued in 2 days.

    Non-returnable items include but are not limited to:

    • Used Products
    • Batteries
    • All accessories
    • Special orders
    • Gift cards and gifted orders
    • Used items except in EXTREME cases of breakage/malfunction

    Electric Ride Co. Return Terms

    • To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unused and in its original packaging.
    • Returns may be requested by sending an email to support@electricrideco.com with your order number.
    • If your return is accepted, we’ll send you instructions on how and where to send your package.
    • Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.
    • We do not charge restocking fees, but if our supplier does, this fee will be passed on to you. Supplier restocking fees vary from zero to 30% and can be viewed on the product page.
    • If the return is for personal reasons, a 5% fee will be charged to cover our administration costs and merchant processing fees.
    • If your order has shipped, you will be responsible for actual return shipping charges.
    • Original shipping charges included in the purchase price of the product are non-refundable.
    • We will refund the product price minus the applicable fees and charges.
    • Refunds will be credited to the same payment method used when the original purchase was made.
    • Please allow 5 business days for the refund to be processed once the item is delivered back to us.

     Additional Information

    • It is the customer's responsibility to return the merchandise in a new resalable condition. Refunds are only issued after returned items have been received and inspected.
    • If a returned item gets damaged during the transportation, it is the customer's responsibility to file the claim with the carrier. No refund can be issued in this case.
    • Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
    • If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will be automatically applied to the original method of payment.

    Cancellations

    • All cancelled orders are subject to a 5% cancellation fee.
    • This fee covers administration costs and costs from our credit card processing company. Whenever we refund an order, we are not refunded our merchant card processing fees.
    • If your order has not been shipped yet, this is the only fee you will incur.
    • If your order has been shipped, the standard return procedure applies and more fees will apply like original shipping costs, return shipping costs, and restocking fees if any. We do not charge restocking fees, we only pass them on from our supplier.

    Damages

    Please inspect the packaging of your item(s) when they arrive, if you notice any damage you should make note of it when signing for delivery. If your item(s) do arrive damaged, please send photos to support@electricrideco.com and we will address the issue.

    Defective Merchandise

    All of our products are covered by their manufacturer warranty policies. The warranty information for each product can be found under the "WARRANTY" tab on the product page. Please let us know if you discover any manufacturer's defects and we will help you get parts or replace the product.

    Please note that for returns of defective products, it is the customer's responsibility to repackage the product in the original packaging. Please make sure to keep the original packaging even if it has been damaged as the packaging can be patched up. If the customer has thrown away the original packaging then it is the customer's responsibility to repackage the product at their own cost.

    Some of our suppliers may refuse returns if the original packaging has been thrown away.

    Incorrect Product Specifications and/or Pictures

    Product specifications are provided to us by our manufacturers and may not always be correct. Products may also vary from the displayed pictures, usually due to product improvements over time. Electric Ride Co. is not responsible for original or return shipping fees should the specs or pictures be different than the actual item. Please contact us if you need to confirm anything specific about the item before placing your order.

    Exchanges

    We do not offer exchanges. If you’d like a different item you will need to return the initial order and place a new order.

    We work very hard to ensure that we offer the absolute best prices online. Most of our suppliers have a minimum advertised price policy which dealers have to follow. If you find another online store that offers a lower price than us within 30 days of your purchase date then please let us know. As long as the dealer is not breaking the minimum advertised price policy, we will refund the price difference to your original payment method.

    We want you to feel confident that you are getting the absolute best price for the product you are ordering. If you find that our own website has a lower price for the same item you have ordered within 30 days of your purchase date we will refund the difference as well.

    To request your partial refund simply e-mail us a link to the same product on our website or on our competitors’ website along with your order number within 30 days from the date of your order and we will process the credit accordingly.

    Our Price Match Policy has some limitations:
    • You must purchase the item from our website before requesting our Price Match Policy.
    • Black Friday promotions and promotions such as rebates and "buy one, get one free" offers are not eligible.

    DYU Warranty Info

    All DYU bikes are covered under 1-year all-inclusive warranty for the owner against all manufacturing defects (All free Accessories are not covered by warranty service).

    Warranty Period And Target Audience Terms

    The warranty would be registered automatically when the initial purchaser orders it. So the warranty is under the INITIAL PURCHASER and the 1-year warranty would be started since the initial owner has received it.

    As for the warranty transfer, the ebike transferee can only enjoy the warranty when the following two conditions are met at the same time:

    • The 1-year package hasn’t expired since the initial owner has received it.
    • You have the initial owner’s name & the initial order number.

    Covered Products

    DYU will replace any component that is deemed to be defective or damaged (including damage incurred during shipment) without user error. The warranty covers the listed products and follows the terms below:

    Frame

    DYU ebike frames are covered by a replacement warranty for 1 year.

    This warranty includes a replacement frame only. Labor charges to changeover parts to replacement frames are not included. Changeover labor must be performed by an authorized DYU repair mechanic.

    DYU reserves the right to use scratch and dent stock when replacing a frame under this warranty. Frame styles and/or colors not in stock may be replaced with a compatible style and/or color at the discretion of DYU.

    Frame issues that are excluded from this warranty include but are not limited to:

    • Corrosion
    • Paint fade, scratches, impact marks
    • Impact damage
    • Non-reversible modification (drilling/welding)
    • Chain guard mount to the frame if applicable
    Batteries

    DYU batteries are covered by a 1 year prorated warranty.

    During 1 year of service – A defective battery will be repaired or replaced at no cost to the customer. The warranty period for a repaired or replaced battery remains unchanged based on the original purchase date.

    After the first 1 year of service – A prorated credit, based on months of service, will be applied toward the purchase of a new battery. Batteries purchased at pro-rated cost will have a new 1-year warranty based on the pro-rated purchase date.

    No cash reimbursement will be made.

    Batteries can be assessed and found defective directly by DYU only.

    This Limited Warranty Does Not Cover:

    • Defects or damage resulting from accident, abuse, misuse, abnormal use (including but not limited to stunt riding, racing, or other similar activities not consistent with the intended use of the Products), improper storage, abnormal exposure to liquid, chemicals, moisture, abrasives, sand or dirt, neglect, or abnormal physical, electrical or electromechanical stress;
    • Defects or damage caused by private modification;
    • Scratches, dents, and cosmetic damage, unless caused by DYU;
    • The product that has the serial number or the bar code removed, defaced, damaged, altered, or made illegible;
    • Ordinary wear and tear;
    • Defects or damage to the Products caused by the use of accessories, products, or ancillary/peripheral equipment not furnished or approved by DYU with the Products;
    • Defects or damage caused by the assembly, testing, operation, maintenance, installation, service, repair, or adjustment in a manner that varies from Assembly Instructions & Owners Manual;
    • Defects or damage resulting from external causes such as collision, fire, flooding, windstorm, lightning, earthquake, exposure to weather conditions, theft, blown fuse, or improper use of any electrical source;
    • In addition, with respect to the battery, this Limited Warranty does not cover defects or damage:
    • Caused by charging by a battery charger not intended or appropriate for use with the Battery or the improper use of a battery charger;
    • Where any of the seals on the battery are broken or show evidence of tampering;
    • Where the Battery has been used in equipment other than the Bike for which it is specified;
    Parts & Components

    Original DYU parts & components are covered by a 1-year limited warranty (When all the spare parts for the warranty are sent to the customer, the customer needs to bear the freight).

    This Limited Warranty Does Not Cover:

    1. Ordinary wear and tear not the result of defects in workmanship or materials. Wear and tear can be assessed by DYU. Parts not typically covered include but are not limited to:

    • Brake Pads
    • Rotors
    • Spokes
    • Tires/Tubes
    • Chains
    • Chain Rings
    • Cassettes
    • Crankset
    • Parts compromised due to corrosion due to the elements (moisture, heat, etc).
    • Damage or deterioration of the surface finish, appearance, or aesthetics of the product.
    • Frame, forks, handlebar, seat post, saddle, brakes, lights, crankset, pedals, rims, wheel hub, freewheel, cassette, derailleur, shifter, motor, throttle, controller, wiring harness, LCD display, kickstand, reflectors, and hardware. Warranty within one week after receiving the goods. Parts damaged during use after seven days need to be charged.

    2. Labor charges for part replacement or changeover.

    3. Defects or damage resulting from accident, abuse, misuse, abnormal use (including but not limited to stunt riding, racing, or other similar activities not consistent with the intended use of the Products), improper storage, abnormal exposure to liquid, chemicals, moisture, abrasives, sand or dirt, neglect, or abnormal physical, electrical or electromechanical stress.

    4. Scratches, dents, and cosmetic damage not caused by DYU.

    5. Product that has the serial number or the bar code removed, defaced, damaged, altered, or made illegible.

    6. Defects or damage to the Products caused by the use of accessories, products, or ancillary/peripheral equipment not furnished or approved by DYU. with the Products.

    7. Defects or damage caused by improper assembly, testing, operation, maintenance, installation, service, repair, or adjustment in a manner that varies from Assembly Instructions & Owners Manual.

    8. Defects or damage resulting from external causes, such as collision, fire, flooding, windstorm, lightning, earthquake, exposure to weather conditions, theft, blown fuse, or improper use of any electrical source.

    Claims Process

    1. Warranty Claims

    All claims to this warranty must be made through DYU and submitted to service@dyucycle.com. Proofs of purchase and photos or videos of the damaged product are required with any warranty request. Before making a warranty claim, we suggest that you contact us at service@dyucycle.com as there may be a simple fix for your problem. Valid warranty claims will be processed through DYU within 1 year of initial purchase.

    DYU will not replace any part without first seeing photos or videos of the damaged product. Customers need to provide us with evidence by email.

    2. Shipping Damage Claims

    In rare instances, the item received may be damaged during transportation. If shipping damage occurs, please contact service@dyucycle.com and provide us with photos or video proof.

    All free accessories will not participate in the replacement or compensation if they cause scratches during transportation.

    NOTICE: we will not accept Shipping Damage Claims later than 7 days from receipt of products.
